Election near, value of voters spike up: Manik's Govt. now focus on developmental works

AGARTALA, Nov 23 (TIWN): Eyebrows arising with Tripura left front govt's sudden focus on few developmental works especially in Municipality areas, says latest report. However, govt.’s attempt on developmental works just started before 1 month of the election, which again shows the intention of govt. fishy, rather than long term peoples welfare.

In other words to beg the vote banks govt. has started such upgradations including Municipal drainage system, double lane road way, cloth distribution etc etc.
The works which are being accomplished by the ruling govt. are however getting huge publicity before the election.

For example, SFI organized Inter-college drama competition on 21st Nov , where AMC Mayor Dr. Prafullajit Sinha was presented. Minister Manik Dey on 22 Nov. welcomed new CPI-M members before mass. In various subdivisions there are bundles of renovation works going on.
But the question is that how far these works will progress. How long time the govt. will need to complete the works? However, local people are happy as keeping the election in mind the left front govt. is spending atleast few.
However, it’s to be mentioned here that since 22 years, Tripura Govt. is making “Election-Promises”, but till day Tripura has been failed to progress as other developed states of India.  Being ruled by left front govt. Tripura has today: with “No-Rail-line connection”, no proper road-way and people of the state have become a part of such common sufferings.
Before the election, although govt. is in hurry to show few works and has engaged workers on road to show the activeness of left front govt., but if such ‘activeness’ was maintained since 22 years last, then the scenario of the state would be really different.
22 CCTV cameras are left in non-working condition in the capital city, the condition of NH-44 state wide is worsening day by day, the state govt. workers are working with 50 % less salary, school education system has gone to the last level of damage. So Tripura Govt. really has to think before making election promises; as till 22 years it has badly failed to keep those promises.
