AGRTALA, Oct 8 (TIWN): The Tripura High Court in a decision has asked the administrations of AMC, PWD and Electric department to check the status of the of the safety arrangements of the electric wires and parking system in front of the shopping malls especially with a special focus to the ML Plaza.
Tripura High Court, has ordered the administrations to take a look around the facilities available in the shopping malls of the Agartala city especially ML Plaza.
It is seen that, there are many electric wires which are openly hanging in front of ML Plaza which may turn dangerous if it comes in contact with human being. Apart from the electric wires there is no proper parking zone for parking any four wheelers.
The HC has ordered to inspect whether the malls have the proper place for parking or not, does it have the proper emergency exit, ramp for the disabled people, appropriate electricity and water supply, facility of lift and fire lift, proper installment of CCTV camera, the entry and exit doors, and whether resting place for the consumers available or not.
The court has also asked to examine how much of land have the mall occupied, is it as per the documentation of the papers, how much storey is the mall; is it under safety prone measures, what is the height of the mall, what are departmental stores in the mall and does it have all the safety measures available in the mall for the consumer satisfaction.
The order mainly aims at looking for the availability of parking zone in the shopping malls along with the facility of lift and ramp for the consumers in the malls. He further ordered that the facility of parking zone is mostly important as improper parking of vehicles including motor-bikes, car, in the no parking zone on the roadside causes inconvenience to smooth traffic movement, and more seriously to pedestrians.
Widened portions of the roads get fully occupied mostly in the evening for parking and create clogging on either side the road due to irregular parking of vehicles so it is important to have proper parking place.
