Security of Tripura top officials under threat after Shanta murder case at Agartala

AGARTALA, August 19 (TIWN): On yet another sensational case took place in the capital city housewife of a government official was murdered in her own living room at Shyamalibazar government bungalow. However, the incident had brought the security of the state top officials under threat now as the murder took place just at a stone pelting distance from state chief secretary Y P Singh and state Director General of Police (DGP) K Nagaraj’s bungalow.

And yet now even after the passage of 24 hours the police had failed to arrest the culprit linked to the murder incident.

The murder incident took in a broad day light on Monday at high security zone complex had triggered a serious question over the security of state top officials. The high profiled and designated official resides at the complex.

This is the first of its kind that that a wife of government official was murdered at a high security zone in a broad day light. Besides unexpectedly the police had so far failed to detect and trace the main culprits linked to the case despite the higher ups of the state police rushed to the spot getting an alarm of the incident.

In view of the sensational murder case the locals claimed that such an incident in this complex covered with full proof security was entirely unexpected. They also claimed that the incident has now triggered a serious threat to the security of the state top officials.

50 years old housewife was found stabbed to death at her living room on Monday in a government quarter located at Tripura capital Agartala Syamalibazar under New Capital Complex (NCC) police station. Police said the women identified as a Shanta Saha, wife of government official Dipak Saha was alone at her room on the day of incident when an unidentified assailants stabbed her to death.

Multiple injuries were marked on Shanta’s body and police recovered a sharp knife lying on a bed at her living room on the day of the incident.

Keeping the incident focused it was alleged that government had entirely failed to provide enough security to its top officials. People also claimed that when the top official themselves are not being secured than how come the common mass of the state could be secured in this golden era of the state.
