KAMALPUR, August 12 (TIWN): The real saga of so-called ‘model education system’ of this highly trumpeted ‘golden era’ started to reveal at different parts of the state as well as Dhalai district.
After two consecutive unrests at Kamalpur, the students of Dalubari Gate H.S. School locked the school and blocked the national highway today. They adopted the measure after being long deprived of their demands of basic necessities of education system.
The Dalubari Gate H.S. School had long been suffering for lack of teachers. Many subjects were being taught by proxy teachers. The students several times knocked the higher up authority but with no fruitful result.
As a consequence, the students locked the entrance of the school around 1 am today. Receiving the information the SFI leadership rushed to the school. They contacted with the District Education Officer. But being in an administrative meeting he sent a representative.
Meanwhile the students blocked the national highway. After 40 minutes of blockade, a delegation of the students was taken to the District Education office for discussion. There the authorities gave them written assurance to remedy the problem soon. Then the blockade ended.
