AGARTALA, August 10 (TIWN): On the second day of the monsoon session of the Tripura assembly Chief Minister Manik Sarkar stated that no more outpost will be set up at Teliamura sub-division and there is no further plans of the state govt. in the future to build any outpost in the mentioned sub-division in future.
Answering to the questionof MLA Gauri Das to build two separate police outpost at Teliamura in front of the Teliamura Degree College and Baramura Echo Park, Chief Minister rejected her demand and said that there is no issue to build up any outpost at Teliamaura as the Teliamura police station is at a 2 km distance from the Teliamura College.
Establishing her demand to set up an outpost in front of the Teliamura Degree College as security is the most important issue for the safety of the students in the college.
The police are primarily responsible for the maintenance of public order, prevention and detection of crimes. They can also protect the life, liberty and property of the college students. The crime is increasing day by day with the increase in the complexity of the civilization and an establishment of outpost will curb the crime.
However, CM Manik Sarkar said that as there is no much population near the Boromura echo park and people visit the park only during the seasonal time and hence there is no need of outpost near Boromura Echo Park.
