UDAIPUR, June 24 (TIWN): The proposed Rs.1,741 crore for Agartala-Sabroom railway line which is expected to be completed by 2017, has also passed through Salgora area of Udaipur just adjacent to the Salgora high school has been resulted to the dilapidated condition of the road for past one year.

Traffic along the Salgora road adjacent to the Salgora High School has been disrupted after the construction of the rail bridge resulting debris blocking the road, hampering the smooth movement of the traffic and pedestrian.

Hundreds of passengers including the school students of Salgora High School heading to different destinations from Salgora have been stranded on the way due to the road blockade.

Office goers and school goers had to deal with poor condition of road and diversions on several routes as the regular route was logged with muddy-water after the moderate shower. The water logged in some places of the roads created problems for vehicles and pedestrians

This terrible condition of water logging on the roads is mainly due to the improper disposal of waste after the laying of the railway track which is not properly disposed and clogs the road in front of the school. Further, it obstructs the free flow of the water that enters into the school ground and hampers the regular movement in the school.

It is alleged that after all the happenings no initiative was undertaken by the concerned department for renovation, meanwhile widespread resentments are brewing among the people.

The condition resulted pathetic situation for the dwellers in the area causing injuries to the pedestrians with the stones chips and the pot holes all over the roads. A vast number of commuters along with the drivers and the passengers are facing acute problem leading to disruption in the vehicles. The pathetic condition of the road poses tremendous danger for the pedestrians and the people residing in the either sides of the area.

However, the localites have informed the matter to the concerned authority but so far no action is taken for the renovation of the road.
