Udaipur, June 16 (TIWN): Udaipur infamously occupying the top slot of maximum number of rapes in Tripura. Police not yet fully started to investigate the previous rape files, but R.K.Pur Women Police Station has registered another rape case on June 15, Monday afternoon. This time the victim is a school student of 15 years. Reportedly the victim’s mother Sabita Das, from Fulkumari, Udaipur, has launched a written complaint against Satyajit Chanda (22), resident of Kakaraban’s Dharer Tilla, Udaipur.

According to the reports, the accused namely Satyajit Chanda had evolved in a friendship with the girl, and taking this tie-up as a chance the accused had taken her into a forest of Brahmahachara; taking advange of  isolated place,  he raped her. After knowing this, the victim’s mother filed a complaint in R.K.Pur Women Police station and the case has been filed under section IPC 376.

But surprisingly no arrest had taken place yet. While talking to the lame-duck police officials, they said that they had doubt in this case, so they are waiting for the medical reports to come.

It is to be mentioned that Brahmahachara forest has become the centre for crimes. Before a month ago a tribal woman namely Renu Bala Tripura was brutally murdered, allegedly after being raped. Although SDPO of Udaipur was the investigator of the case still no update of the case could be collected from SDPO himself.

Similarly in other rape cases of Udaipur police are rather slumbering and not undertaking investigations seriously, sources says. As a result this town has become the most immoral and unsafe place for women. Lethargic attitude of Police dept. in Udaipur, lack of punishments driving up rising crimes on women.

Even though Gomati District Administration headed by a woman District Magistrate Sonal Goel, but brutal tortures on  women on the rise. Unless Police, District Administration take bold steps, spread awareness - Udaipur's crime grapgh on rise.
