KAILASHAHAR, June 13 (TIWN): Ministry of Agriculte and Tripura Tribal Welfare Minister Aghore Debbarma has inaugurated the office of Deputy Director of Agricutre at Goura Nagar, Kailashahar on Friday. The programme was held at the conference hall of Unokoti Jilla Parishad. MLA Birajit Sinha, Jilla Sabhadipati Kalpana Debnath, Director of Agriculture, Tripra Govt. D.P. Sarkar along with other dignitaries remained present in the programme.

MLA Birajit Sinha said, while addressing the people of the hall that till now many agricultural fields are not provided with sufficient water supplying due to which many lands are in devastating condition. Though many steps had been taken various times to save these fields and to upgrade the practice of agriculture through out the whole sub-division but due to the negligence role of the ruling Govt. here in the state, the condition remain same. Govt. should be more active in such issues so that no farmers would be deprived of any facility related to agriculture.Sinha also mentioned about the futile plan of Govt. which was taken before 24 years, to cut a drain from Nalkata to Kailashahar but alike state Govt.’s other plans this has also vanished due to its inattention motive.

It is interesting to mention here that in return of MLA Birajit Sinha, Aghore Debbarma said, “Before 27 years, poor people of this state had no option for their survival, except begging. But the life style and living standard of people have totally changed; and agriculture is not apart from this. Agriculture has also shown its progress in this left ruled state. And the office of Deputy Director of Agriculture has already made in Sipahijala and Kailashahar, next it will be Dharmanagar.”

Within 2017 Tripura will be sufficient with agricultural outputs, said the inaugurator Aghor Debbarma.
