AGARTALA, June 12 (TIWN): Amongst the 9 passengers, a total of five passengers were air lifted to Beijing on Friday morning by one Beijing bound flight arrived here from Mumbai, official said. All the 4 passengers who were on board on Thursday landed emergency here are all high profile businessmen and they were identified as Wangzia Lian, Oen Niaozi, Liu Chaoui and another Liuchun-R Paye. They had left the airport along with one crew member. 2 crew members and other two stayed back.Talking to TIWN in this regard DM (West) Dr. Milind Ramteke said the five passengers including one crew member on Friday left Agartala airport for Beijing after one flight from Mumbai arrived here at11:30 AM. The passengers would be travelled via Thailand.Asked about the status of the China flight which landed emergency at Agartala airport on Thursday at Agartala airport, DM said it is under maintenance now as the engineer from Mumbai had come here on Friday morning.According to the official of the Agartala airport, all the 5 passengers left the airport safe and secured whereas the engineer arrived here on Friday morning is engaged to restore the fault of the China flight. After the maintenance the rest on board would fly to Beijing. Flight is expected to leave agartala airport on saturday after the maintenance.

However, in a sudden shock after Modi's successful Bangladesh visit on June 6,7 , on Thursday  a Beijing bound a Chinese flight forced emergency landing at Agartala Airport on thrusday. One China based small aircraft on Thursday made an emergency landing at Agartala airport with a total of 9 on board.

According to the airport authority the flight landed here at around 10:30 AM, Thrusday after it faced some technical fault in air. An airport official said, “The flight B8122 of China was flying to Beijing from Delhi and later facing some technical faults it landed immediately here at Agartala airport on Thursday.”

Agartala air traffic control received message from the chartered flight that flight has developed problem. Flight captain sought permission to land Agartala airport immediately. After getting approval ATC Agartala immediately asked captain for landing.At around flight landed safely.

Airport authorities informed State Govt and New Delhi as Chinese plane in North East is a sensitive issue especially after recent Manipur blast.

Adding to that the official said a total of 5 crew members and 4 passengers was on board while it made emergency landing here. Asked about the current status the official said the flight is still waiting here at the airport until the engineers comes here from abroad.
