KORBOOK, June 12 (TIWN): After one and half year of foundation stone laying ceremony at Ghurakatta area under Korbook Police Station, Gomati District, no work has been carried out till now.

Tripura Left front Government on its ambitious plan once took an initiative to provide medical assistance to the people of the area but failed to complete it on time.

Resentment brewed-up among the locals saying it has been one and half year that the foundation stone was laid assuring to provide better health service in that area but till today no initiative has been taken. This situation has forced the people residing in the area to visit the Shilachari Hospital which is 20 km away from the Ghurakatta area.

The locals over the area, expressing grief said that the establishment of the hospital would have saved their time as well as money which they had to spend to visit the Shilachari Primary Hospital. The Shilachari Hospital is at a distance of 20 Kilometer form the area.

They further expressed that most of the time the existing Primary Health Centre in the Ghurakatta area under Korbook Police Station, Gomati District remains close. In the hospital only one doctor has been deployed for the treatment of the people of the area which is not sufficient.

They also alleged that the hospital has been running under deplorable condition for several months, creating health negligence to the people. The hospital also lacks adequate equipment facility to meet the need of the people.
