AGARTALA, June 1 (TIWN): In the upcoming by-election of 13-Pratapgarh and 46-Surma Constituency, candidate Ramu Das of Pratapgarh centre will submit his nomination probably on June 5. While the scheduled date of candidate of Surma Constituency is still not revealed.

On the other hand, when CPI-M had already started alarming campaign in the respective centres, Congress, BJP had not yet decided the name of candidates. It may be recalled here that Election Commission of India (ECI) on May 27, had issued an official notification for by­ elections at Tripura

Counting of votes would be held on June 30, ECI notification. Scrutiny of the nomination papers would be on June 11. The ECI on its notification declared that the polling for by­elections in the mentioned state would start from8:00 AM and would continue till 5:00 PM. The elections shall be completed by July 2, 2015, issued ECI

The commission has decided that the voter’s identification shall be mandatory in the aforementioned by­elections at the time of poll. Electoral photo identity card (EPIC) shall be the main document of identification of a voter. The model of conduct shall come into force with immediate effect in the districts in which the whole or any part of the Assembly Constituency going for by­election is included, ECI decided.

It shall be applicable to all candidates, political parties and the state govt. concerned. However the State Election Commission is entrusted to issue the notification for the by­elections on June 3, 2015. It is to be mentioned here that almost all the political parties here in Tripura have geared up for the upcoming by­elections slated to be held on June 27, 2015
