AGARTALA, May 19 (TIWN): Removal of Ranjit Deb Barma from the Chief Executive Member post of Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council [TTAADC] has created strong resentment within CPM party and its grassroots level workers and supporters especially in tribal dominated areas. By the time The Khowai District Committee of CPM raised their voice against the decision of Party Secretariat.

According to party sources The Divisional and District committee of CPM would likely submit a joint ultimatum to the state secretariat demanding immediate replacement of Ranjit DebBarma in the post of CEM.A cabinet minister likely quit the cabinet in protest against decision shortly.

But when Ranjit DebBarma was running TTAADC satisfactorily then what situation has arisen to drop him from the coveted post of TTAADC? According to CPM state secretariat his overall performance was not at all satisfactory at least to party top brasses. Though observers opined that Ranjit DebBarma hails from Ramchandraghat,  a strong base of CPM was running  TTAADC efficiently ,honestly   and people living in TTAADC area were happy with his leadership .In fact Former CEM is widely known as gentleman and honest  moreover he was very  efficient to run a TTAADC.  His door was remain open always for downtrodden tribe .Cutting across political affiliation whoever seeks CEM  help or assistance  Ranjit DebBarma and his administration helped them whatever possible for TTAADC .

It to be noted here After Dasharath Deb it is Aghore DebBarma and Ranjit DebBarma who runs organization in Khowai,Kamalpur,Sadar area. They are known as the fighting figures in these areas. When party was not in power Ranjit,Aghore both sacrificed a lot for the party. Ranjit,Aghore led the party in tribal area and they were the leading and dedicated party organizer also.

It was CEM Ranjit DebBarma who compelled other Executive Members to stay in Khumulung instead of Agartala. For so many years all the Executive Members were residing in capital Agartala. But Ranjit asked all EM to stay in Khumulung , TTAADC headquarter. According to TTAADC and party sources Ranjit is the victim for his honesty, sincerity and liberalism .A section of  TTADDC functionaries particularly few EM,s were so annoyed against former CEM for his strongmen ship. Other EM,s were not able to hush up TTAADC fund for their personal interest. As a result most EM regularly lodged complains against CEM Ranjit to Party Secretary. Radha Charan Deb Barma was their leader .According to party sources Radha Charan was mobilizing EMs and Zonal Officers against Ranjit DebBarma.

Radha Charan DebBarma who was EM in charge of Information and Youth Affairs   allegedly misused IYA fund for his personal interest. Everybody knows it that Radha  is owner of local Kok Borok Channel.Many raised question How Radha becomes a channel owner?Where is the source of fund? Radha is known as a regimented worker of the party .His door was restricted for an opposition supporter which was just opposite of Ranjit DebBarma. Ranjit was liberal   while Radha is regimented. Ranjot door is remains open for all but Radha,s door was open only for party workers. These were the basic difference between outgoing CEM Ranjit DebBarma and Incumbent CEM Radha Charan DebBarma.

Ranjit DebBarma sacrificed a lot for the party for long period and spent in jail in different times also. But Radha Charan never spent a paise for party, jail days was far away. With the overall support of Manik Dey, Rural Development Minister Now Radha Charan DebBarma is in the coveted post of TTAADC which has formed under the provision of 6^th schedule of Indian Constitution.

In contrast an efficient, dedicated and liberal Ranjit Deb Barma has been placed in the post of Chairman of TTAADC.It is symbolic post and that does not have any administrative power. The ruling CPM secretariat tactfully snubbed the administrative power from Ranjit DebBarma.

It has learnt from the reliable sources even party sources that in protest against the decision of removal of Ranjit DebBarma from CEM post, Aghore DebBarma, Minister for Agriculture contemplating to quit cabinet. It to be mentioned that Aghore DebBarma is the Central Committee Member of CPI-M.
