AGARTALA, Oct 6 (TIWN): Ration shop owners are allegedly displaying arrogance with consumers after they went for free commodities announced by Tripura Govt.
In some places, many ration shops are kept closed.
“I got my free ration but I was among the 9 beneficiaries to get it. Others did not get the ration as the owner said, the stock was empty. That was the only shop that was open in the morning. Rest other shops are still closed….”, said a recipient of free rations who faced a hard time getting the free items declared by the Tripura government.
Ahead of Durga puja, Tripura Govt is distributing free flour, free sugar, and semolina.
Total of 500 grams of semolina (Suji), 2 Kg flour (Mayda), and 1 Kg sugar are being given.
