AGARTALA, June 17 (TIWN): Northeast India’s crimes are now fuelled by international and national borders with neighboring states. In such an incident, Dharmanagar police caught a robber Kabiruddin, who was entering Tripura via Churaibari in an auto and planning to rob houses with his gang. Dharmanagar Police Station OC-Himadri Sarkar said, “The auto was going at high speed but police were successful in catching it. The arrested man is Kabiruddin but for the sake of investigation, right now police would not make the other accused names public. We are thoroughly interrogating Kabiruddin.”
Police seized chopper and other sharp weapons from him. After interrogation, the accused would be produced before the court.
During the primary investigation, it was found that Kabiruddin was entering Tripura with the sole aim of looting houses.
