AGARTALA, Dec 14 (TIWN): Tipra Motha party on Sunday organized a press meet, raising various issues including what happened at Astabal ground on December 12 during Promo Fest.

Condemning police’s action against innocent civilians, Tipra Motha leader Rajeswar Debbarma said, “The way police were instigated to be violent on innocent civilians, is unexpected and unacceptable.”

“The incident was really unfortunate. We do support such initiatives that have been taken in the name of Unity Promp Fest but police attack, beating of innocent people is condemnable,” said Debbarma.

He further demanded strict actions and investigation to find out which police officials were involved behind this.
