AGARTALA, June 13 (TIWN): Charilam Forest Department recovered a huge quantity of wood from Bishalgarh.
The raid took place at Bishalgarh, Chandan Nagar Tila area.
Reportedly, the Forest employees initially traced the woods after seeing a 20-foot-long wood in an area, which triggered the alarm of suspicion.
When searched, a huge quantity of wood was recovered from the area.
Such incidents provide a clue of how much illegal deforestation is going on in this state posing a threat to the environment.
