AGARTALA, Nov 30 (TIWN): CPI-M minority leader Sahid Mia was brutally murdered by BJP goons in Charilam on Wednesday during a rally organized by CPI-M at there. Many CPI-M workers were injured including former Minister Bhanulal Saha. A clash was generated between two parties which left both parties workers injured. On being asked, Deputy CM Jishnu Debbarman supported the BJP workers asking why did CPI-M MLA Bhanulal Saha go to Charilam as he is an MLA of Bishalgarh ? Education cum Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath nodded his head in support of Jishnu Debbarman's statement. After many CPI-M workers were injured in BJP’s attack and police were unable to take action against BJP goons, CPI-M countered and after that BJP started bombing which generated a terror-situation there. The entire incident took placed in front of Police.

Then BJP had thrown bombs which left many CPI-M workers injured further.  BJP workers were also injured in the clash. Police officials were also inured in that incident.

Huge numbers of Police personnel were deployed to bring the situation under control, but no BJP worker was arrested for the murder yet.

CPI-M’s rally was peaceful, but when BJP started the unprecedented attack, police miserably failed to control the situation. CPI-M has condemned the incident, demanded immediate action from the Police.

BJP workers were carrying bombs with them which generated panic in the area. Tension prevails in Chairlam. So far the death toll is one but many CPI-M workers remain critical.
