Agartala, January 11 (TIWN): The 7-month-old Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been extending supports and inspiration to the people for foreign investment across the country, said Minister Ratan Bhowmik in the state-level convention of Fishery Employees’ Local Committee under the banner of Tripura Government Employees’ Association (TGEA) at its central office in Agartala, here today.
“Though there are some differences between previous UPA government and incumbent BJP government in the Center but the main view is BJP government only works for the interest of capitalists or corporate people in the country”, said Bhowmik.
He further stated that BJP government creating space in the country so that the corporate people can gain more profits in different fields, he added.
“Even in such situation, the state government introducing different allowances for the welfare of needy people of the state. As a result, the state government failed to release 100 percent DA for the state employees till date”, Bhowmik added.
“The CPI-M ruled state government in Tripura merely works for the interest of the all-section of people of the state in true sense but the BJP government only gives importance to the corporate people”, he said.
In the report, secretary of the committee- Subodh Ranjan Das mentioned that at present 17 km fish per capita being produced and with the rising demand of fish in the state, the committee has aimed to produce 20 kg fish per head by 2017.
Expressing the success of the organization, he further stated that altogether 11 persons were appointed in die-in-harness scheme. A total of 242 fixed-pay employees were regularized while 17 employees were promoted and 21 PL workers were regularized.
Besides, he urged the members of the organization to strengthen the protest against anti-people activities and to initiate and implement various organizational programmes to cope up with the present political situation.
