Agartala, January 9 (TIWN): To make the ‘Pilak’, an attractive tourism spot of South Tripura more eye-catching to the tourists, with the funds of Tripura Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC), a Buddha Theme Park is being constructed at Mahamuni Tilla of Pilak in Jolaibari.
A total of Rs. 40 lakh has been estimated for the establishment of this park. Field leveling works have already been started from December 25, last year and now continuing in full swing, said a source of TTDC. Mainly, thoughts of Lord Goutam Buddha will be displayed in the park through different portraits, he added.
The park will be set up on 3.5 kani lands and among them a lake will be created on 2.5 kani lands at the same time, said source.
The source further said, the visitors will find a panoramic view of nature in the surroundings of the park and will witness different types of plants including green sceneries on the both sides of way to the park.
Expressing rejoice, a visibly excited villager said, after the inauguration of this park, a huge number of visitors from across the country and foreign countries are expected to visit here and enjoy the environment of the park. “A prolonged dream is likely to be turned true shortly if the construction works are finished on time”, he added.
“Earlier, many initiatives were taken to set up this kind of park but at such the people of the state experienced the ultimate result as zero. Therefore we demand to the concerned authority to open the park by completing the construction at earliest”, a visitor of Pilak said.
