UDAIPUR, January 7 (TIWN): Radhakishorepur Police and Garjee Police station in a joint operation succeeded to arrest a person accused to be involved in killing a tribal girl after his brutal attempt of rape before killing. The culprit was arrested from his house at Tainani , Garjee.
It is to be mentioned that on 22nd December a rotten dead body of an unidentified woman was discovered from a jungle Tainani area.
Later on it was learnt that it was the dead body of Ramapada Reang of Paharpur area under Birganja Police Station Amarpur Sub Division . Since December 7 the girl was missing. On 5th January the family of the victim lodged a case in Radhakishorepur Police station against Amarjit Reang of Tainani area of Garjee. Accordingly the two police stations made joint raid in his house and succeeded to arrest him. Today police police produced him before the court.
It is learnt that Amarjit is the friend of the girl's brother and naturally he had a good relation with the family and occasionally used to visit their house. Meanwhile , Amarjit proposed Ramapada couple of times but the girl denied his proposal. It is now suspected that in order to take revenge on her Amarjit took the girl away from her house and came to a near by jungle and at first raped her and then to suppress the fact killed her. Today when he was produced before the court , the Magistrate sent him to police custody.
