Agartala, January 7 (TIWN): Bharatiya Janata Party, Agartala Mandal Committee staged 5 hours sit-in- demonstration against various illegal measures adopted by CPIM led government in Tripura. One of the local leaders of the Committee told that the conditions of the local people will detoriate more than the movement staged during the Telengana movement. The vital points of the demonstration are;
1. People belonging to the Jote land of Kumaritilla area should not be evacuated from their land.
2. The residents of Lenin Colony and Jyotirmoy Coloni should be handed over the land.
3. The illegal evacuation of AMC led by CPIM Government should be immediately stopped.
4. CBI should take strong steps against chit-fund.
5. The businessman of the GB bazaar should not be evacuated from the land.
The BJP leaders also alleged that state government is reluctant to curb rapidly growing black marketing of essential commodities. Meanwhile, state government has adopted wait and see policy before implementing the Food Security Bill in the state.
“The movement would be continued until the demands are conceded by the state government”. Besides that the party intensifying the campaign against corruption and irregularities of CPIM ruled state government. Today’s demonstration was a warning to state government to take strict action on corruption or girdle up to face dire consequences. During the sit-in-demonstration, the party demanded that “We would primarily oppose the police atrocities on women and girls, particularly the brutal murder of girls.”
