AGARTALA, June 20 (TIWN): BJP backed miscreants’ organised deadly attack on Agartala-6 Congress Candidate Sudip Roy Barman. After the attack, injured Sudip Roy Barman was admitted to ILS hospital in an unconscious state. To meet with Barman CPIM leaders, CPIM Candidate Krishna Majumder, former CM Manik Sarkar visited ILS hospital.

After meeting Barman CPIM leaders condemned the incident.

“After BJP comes into Power in Tripura, we thought they will show respect towards Democracy but from 3rd March afternoon they had started attacking, despite that we were present at the ‘Oath Taking’ ceremony. We had hope that whatever they did they will shift from it and respect the democracy and will respect public’s hope and aspirations, but we have seen instead of respecting public they(BJP) started ruling with muscle power”, CPI-M stated.

Besides, the CPIM leader added BJP has yet not fulfilled the Pre-Poll 299 Promises and oppositely snatched Poor people food saying the Poor people without work roaming directionless.

CPIM leader’s statement clarifies that BJP realised that they lost Popularity and public support so to be in Position there is the only alternative way to import ‘Violence’. He also stated that the Lok Sabha Poll, Municipality Poll ‘Massive Rigging’ had happened and turned it into a farce and in the By-Poll to the BJP is trying the same.

CPIM leaders are still hoping the Election Commission will take a responsible role in this matter.
