Over 3,500 TET Qualified Remain Jobless : Ratan Lal’s Big-Lies on 14,000 Spot Recruitment Bites Dust

AGARTALA, June 18 (TIWN): JUMLA continues to be exposed as Tripura BJP Ministers, Leaders have failed to act according to their tall claims when the time of implementation came. Just like Tripura Govt was not seeing any way for regularizing SSA teachers before they appeared in the Court and when Court permitted regularization, Tripura Govt found new ways to deprive the SSA teachers by not regularizing them. In the same way, after few months of BJP Govt formation, Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath claimed that Tripura has over 14000 vacant posts and he also organized a press meet to show the poor ration of student-teachers expressing his concerns about teachers crisis but now when TET qualified are jobless, there is no mention about teachers’ crisis by the Minister.

After Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath recently said that TET teachers who are hoping to get appointment have to wait till Durga Puja month, resentment has gripped the job seekers. Also, how many TET qualifiers to be recruited by that time, it has also not been said clearly. Tripura TET qualified youths gathered in front of Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath’s house on Saturday seeking TET pass certificates and also immediate recruitment. Over 3,500 TET qualifiers are jobless even after qualifying in the tests and having B.Ed degrees.

The qualifiers passed in 2021 but amid the teachers’ crisis, the State Govt has not recruited them. However, Minister Nath reportedly has assured them that before Durga puja, they will get appointments and by 1 month they will get their certificates. Question raises when teachers’ crisis has hit the state, what is the need to hold the appointments? Durga puja is in October means the youths have to wait more than 6 months and by that time, Tripura Election will be near. When the B.Ed qualified youths demanded regular TET-1and TET-2 exams, such delays have raised questions over the intention of the BJP Govt on employment generation.
