AGARTALA, June 15 (TIWN): As the by-poll is knocking on the doors, the ruling and the opposition parties have geared up to fight the poll with their best efforts, although the opposition suspect violence and rigging which happened in the last polls. Amid BJP’s loss of popularity and massive anti-incumbency, BJP candidates are sounding super-confidence which has raised eyebrows about BJP’s polling strategy of this time as in the last Municipal Poll 70% of voters could not cast votes and fake voters had captured booths in front of security and police. State Election Commission played a paralyzed role and remained a mute spectator.

Opposition Congress, CPI-M and Tipra Motha parties are the strongest parties constituency-wise. CPI-M and the ruling BJP have declared candidates for all seats whereas Congress has announced its candidates in 3 seats, vacating 1 seat for Tipra Motha at Surma constituency.

Tripura By-Polls to be held on June 23rd, and result will be declared on June 26th for four constituencies ------ 1) 8-Town Bordowali, 2) 6-Agartala, 3) Surma, 4) Jubaraj Nagar.
