KHOWAI, May 22 (TIWN): Water instead of petrol is being supplied from a petrol pump in Khowai. Consumers alleged out of the two petrol pumps in Khowai town, only water is coming out from a petrol pump called SC Poddar. Many bike riders have been collecting petrol from the pump since Saturday morning and now they are complaining that their motor cycle is being stopped due to water mixed petrol. Almost all bike riders had brought their bikesto the local bike mechanic with this problem. The bike mechanic examined all the parts of the bike and when he did not find any defect, he opened the petrol tank of the bike and took out all the petrol and found it was water instead of petrol.
Many bike riders gathered in front of the petrol pump and started protesting. Many consumers have shown the truth of the incident by showing bottles of water mixed with petrol in.
After that the owner of the petrol pump hurriedly hung a signboard saying there is no petrol.
Petrol pump authorities defended themselves by saying that they did not know how water was coming with petrol. Besides, the petrol pump authorities are showing a notice to Indian Oil stating that they have no responsibility in this regard. Although in Indian Oil: The notice states that this petrol contains ten percent ethanol. In any case, if rain water or a little water is added to the petrol while washing bikes and cars, that petrol can turn into water.
