AGARTALA, May 20 (TIWN): On a bizarre note, an incident of brutality on animals went viral on social media, sparking a storm of condemnation among netizens.
Reportedly, a video of a young man from Tripura went viral where he is seen grabbing a dog by its tail, turned it inhumanely and threw it into the pond water. He was teasing the dog in a funny way. In the roll of his laughter he could not hear the dog screaming. On the other hand, one of his friends was recording the whole thing and later posted this video on social media.
Soon after, the video went viral the animal lovers and common public strongly condemned the incident.
As soon as it was noticed, one of the registered NGO for animals of the state, K-nine started investigating the incident. The search revealed that the boy's name was Rajbir Sarkar, son of Satya Ranjan Sarkar. Later, the NGO lodged an FIR at NCC police station in Agartala. Dipankar Chakraborty, editor of K-Nine, said that since their organization has an office room under the NCC police station in Agartala, they initially lodged an FIR at the NCC police station.
On the other hand, NCC PS OC Subir Malakar said that they would investigate the incident properly and take legal action after finding the accused.
