AGARTALA, March 19 (TIWN): A special food safety operation was carried out at various restaurants, sweet shops and road-side fast food centers in the heart of Belonia town on Saturday evening to check the quality of food and its ingredients.
South District Chief Health Officer Dr. Jagadish Chandra Namo, Food Safety Officer Nirmalendu Dutta, Senior Chemist Anil Barman and other health workers of the department were present during the operation.
After checking the quality of food in different food shops, the senior officials of the department present during the operation gave stern warning to maintain the quality of food properly, otherwise action will be taken accordingly if any default can be found out.
The officials inspected all shops food quality including infrastructural aspects one by one in Belonia City.
