AGARTALA, Feb 19 (TIWN): BJP, IPFT reel under severe crisis due to continuous loss in mass supports, party leaders, members’ quitting and parallelly increasing mass supports for the opposition parties. Although opposition parties are now scattered and far from any talk for alliances but the CPI-M, Congress and Regional Party Tipra Motha are keeping a stronghold on the vote banks. At the same time, BJP and IPFT which suffered severe internal tension in last four years have been losing mass supports. IPFT’s performance in the ADC Poll was worst which has totally replaced by Tipra Motha. Recently from the BJP Party 3 MLAs quitted and from IPFT one and it’s now an open secret that many leaders in the row. Reportedly, IPFT MLAs will quit if the party does not merge with Tipra Motha with the greater interest.

Tripura BJP reportedly monitoring MLAs movements as the party fears losing more supports. Tripura BJP is now testing its own medicine introduced in Tripura in 2018 ahead of the Assembly Election. 6 Congress MLAs before 2018 election at a time had joined BJP to strengthen the party and after four years, 3 MLAs now are returning to Congress whereas already two heavyweight MLAs Sudip Roy Barman and Asish Saha have already joined the Congress. BJP’s resigned MLAs Sudip Roy Barman, Asish Saha have joined the Congress party today in New Delhi in the presence of Congress National Leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi.

Sudip Barman’s decision to return to Congress is after four years of his political breakup with the party as he served as a BJP MLA in Tripura. In 2017, for the sake of change, under the leadership of Narendra Modi, Sudip Barman along with 5 more MLAs had joined the BJP from Congress.

In last four years, BJP witnessed its massive infighting whereas relation with IPFT has remained very upsetting from time to time. In 2019 Lok Sabha election, IPFT activists faced massive attacks, and vehicles were set on fire by BJP. Right now, BJP’s 3 MLAs have officially resigned from the party.

The rebellion inside the BJP party started from anti-Biplab motion which allegedly erupted due to dictator style of controlling party and Govt by Biplab Deb and corruption with his close coteries.

Right now TIPRA MOTHA is demanding immediate completion of the Village Council election or the party would move to Court. BJP and IPFT both have no support on hills and thus afraid to face any poll.
