BISHALGARH, July 25 (TIWN): BJP, RSS leaders with help of Khap Panchayat have evicted a minority family after damaging his home at Chandranagar Tila in Bishalgarh. Such attacks on minorities are very common in Bishalgarh since BJP was voted to power.
Surprisingly, police allegedly denied to lodge any FIR initially, but the police had instead told the victim's family that at first police will talk to local leaders / members of the Pachayat and then will take action, in local TV channels the victim's family has stated this.
A written complaint was submitted to police but Bishalgarh police did not lodge the FIR.
Victim Ujjal Hossain and his parents are now homeless.
A few days back, the family was asked to leave the home. As they did not leave the house, today in an organized manner the attack was held.
Among the attackers, many were BJP and RSS leaders. Victim family said, earlier the Khap Panchayat had warned them to leave the home.
Till now, police did not visit the place.
Such incidents are not new, replicating the symptoms of a "Third World" and "Jungle Raj".
Earlier due to such Khap Panchayat a woman had committed suicide after her private videos were displayed in large screen. Like this many incidents happened in Bishalgarh.
Right now, Bishalgarh has turned into the most unsafe place in Tripura. Women had been beaten up in open markets in Bishalgarh earlier.
