AGARTALA, July 23 (TIWN): 60 years old woman's dead body was recovered from a pond on Friday Morning, who went missing from Thursday.
The name of the deceased is Basanti Namah Sudra, resident of Ananda Palli in Kumarghat. According to the details, it is learned Nikunj Namah in Anandapalli area noticed something suspicious was floating in his pond on Friday Morning, so he went ahead and saw Haradhan Namah’s mother Basanti Namah’s body was floating in his pond. Seeing the floating body the house owner, Nikunj immediate informed to Haradhan Namah.
The family members rushed to the spot and identified the body and informed the fire station. The fire service personnel rushed, rescued the body and took it to Kumarghat Sub-Divisional Hospital, where the on-duty doctor declared the woman dead. Meanwhile, the deceased's son said that his mother lived alone at home and he had no idea when she went outside from home. According to the local sources the old woman had been neglected in the house for a long time. However, the Kumarghat police reached to the spot after receiving the news and Police are investigating the matter.
