AGARTALA, July 21 (TIWN): In political speeches though Chief Minister Biplab Deb claims about massive development in roadways and transport system but the reality has no link with such speeches. In GB hospital, the route which is the main entrance for the emergency has been left in deplorable condition for more than a year due to lack of maintenance but no initiative was taken by the Govt to repair the road although along with Health Dept, the PWD is also under Biplab Deb. Today, while agitating against a deprivation of safety kits, the casual workers (Group-D) who are appointed in patient carrying works, have also raised their voice against the pathetic condition of the emergency route which is left broken for many times.
Such a broken road is uncomfortable for the patients as well as for the workers. They have demanded immediate repair of it.
Talking to one auto driver who brought patient in the hospital, he has slammed the Govt over such negligence,
He criticized the Govt saying, "The Govt talks about development but the reality is not so. Since the emergency ward has been opened here, the problem has remained the same and the road condition was the same in the last year also. All types of emergency patients come through this route. Govt should take some steps to give minimum facilities to the public".
This is not the sole problem of this hospital, but from time to time various infrastructure problems were reported here.
