AGARTALA, July 16 (TIWN): In absence of husband, a housewife was mercilessly beaten up by her brother-in-law. The injured wife was admitted in IGM hospital. The incident occurred in Camp Bazar, Belabar area.

According to the injurer woman's husband Shyamal Sakar it is known that for a long time his elder and younger brother has been organising attacks on Shyamal’s family and also threatening to kill him over property issue.

Though Shyamal has been overlooking the matter and had not given importance to his brother’s threat, but his elder brother continued attacks.

Shyamal has been under target of attack as his brothers want to evict him from their patriarchal property. 

On Friday in absence of Shyamal, he attacked Shyamal's wife and brutally beaten her up and also tore his clothes. Later, the injured housewife was brought to IGM hospital.  Meanwhile, her husband said that he will file case against his brothers at Beltali PS.
