AGARTALA, July 14 (TIWN): After accepting MLA Brishketu Debbarma's resignation yesterday, today the Speaker claimed that 'Resignation has not been accepted yet'.

This undemocratic statement came amid BJP and IPFT would definitely lose if any Bye-Poll is held. Yesterday in front of the media, in the presence of Tipra Motha Chief Pradyot Manikya, MLA Brishketu Debbarma had resigned from the MLA post and the Speaker also had accepted the resignation letter after checking it thoroughly.

But taking a 180 degree move now the Speaker has claimed that Brishketu Debbarma's resignation is not yet accepted and things are still under consideration.

How can a Speaker be confused after already accepting a resignation letter ?

BJP and IPFT can't win a single seat in ADC against TIPRA Motha party. In this situation under Ratan Lal Nath's instruction such undemocratic decisions are being taken so that the party does not have to face any election. Earlier also, the BJP-IPFT Govt did not want any ADC Poll but later under High Court's order, the election was held and BJP and IPFT had lost the poll badly.
