AGARTALA, July 13 (TIWN): Despite of CM Biplab Deb's much hyped "Nesha Mukta Tripura" slogan, contraband items smuggling are getting more active in the State. On Tuesday Bishalgarh police seized 14 kg cannabis from a house at Bishalgarh's Parimal Chowmuhni area.
Reportedly, based on a secret source Bishalgarh police and TSR Jawans jointly raided the house of Chotan Majumder at Parimal Chowmuhni area. After searching police seized 14 kg cannabis from his home. The whole operation was led by SDPO, Bishalgarh.
An FIR has been lodged against Chotan Majumder under NDPS act. However, he is absconding from police now.
