No action taken by Police after 2 months of Sexual Assault Case registration

AGARTALA, July 10 (TIWN): Police have not taken any action in a case where a housewife who was married just before few months had complained against father-in-law for assaulting her.

According to the details, it is known that the victim got married few months ago at Aralia Shiv Mandir area under East PS. But soon after their marriage, her father –in-law started abusing her by giving her sleeping pills. Later, on May 21 the housewife’s in-laws members tied her hands and feet and threw her in front of her uncle's house late at night.

After the incident the housewife had filed a case against her father-in-law and her brother-in-law at East Women's PS. But allegations raised on the role of Police that even after many more days passed, police failed to arrest the accused persons and instead of detaining the accused persons, Police are harassing the victim’s family members by calling them in the PS again and again.

Meanwhile, the victim housewife has raised strong allegations against her in-laws members that the in-laws members are threatening her to withdraw the case in exchange of lakhs of amount and if not then she will be killed along with her family members.

The victim housewife and her family now demanded the Police must arrest the accused immediately and give her justice.

Now it remains to be seen whether Police will take action against the accused and give her justice or in-exchange of bribe Police will hang this case.
