AGARTALA, July 10 (TIWN): Weekend Curfew was imposed in Tripura after checking the serious condition of the Coronavirus pandemic in state with the fresh blow of Delta(+) variants' existence was confirmed from Microbiology lab. The "Weekend Curfew" has started from today (Saturday) 12 Noon and to continue Monday 6 AM and then the regular curfew will be continuing up to 17th July. Talking to media, Sadar SDPO Ramesh Yadav said, "This curfew has been imposed by the Govt for public welfare and police are working outside to keep the people safe. As per the announced Weekend Curfew, everything was closed from 12 noon but still few people were roaming and lawful actions have been taken against them consequently. I request the people to abide by the laws because these restrictions are imposed to control the Covid pandemic which has turned deadly".
7 States have been marked under red-alerts as per Central Data amid the 3rd wave fear among people, which might approach within 1 or 2 months.
Recently the Central Govt team has visited Tripura to submit a report to Delhi on the increasing Covid cases. As per the National data, (Percentage) % Change of new COVID-19 cases (7-day rolling average) in red-alert states :

Manipur 14.0%
Meghalaya 1.9%
Mizoram 13.6%
Sikkim 14.4%
Tripura 1.4%
