AGARTALA, July 9 (TIWN): Crime Branch has interrogated former CPI-M Minister Pabitra Kar for 11 hours long on Friday in a complaint connected with his property, wealth. As per Pabitra Kar and his Lawyer's statements, documents including bank accounts were also seized after the interrogation. Total two houses of Pabitra Kar were raided from morning. One house is at Ramnagar which is reportedly of his wife and another house is at Khayerpur which is Pabitra Kar's ancestral property. However, from the Crime Branch nobody gave any statement before the media. Talking to Pabitra Kar after the interrogation, he said, "The Crime Branch team came at around 8.30 am when I was doing my everyday work but no search warrant was shown by them. However, I had called my advocates. My all documents are open and there is nothing to hide".
"I am politician from my student life and for 25 years I continued as an MLA and also held portfolios of the Govt of Tripura. Earlier also, I was interrogated by Vigilance and BJP Khayerpur Mandal President had first raised the complaint against me to vigilance and then Vigilance filed a case in the Bodhjungnagar PS. This is a political Political intrigue against me just like they did against Badal Chowdhury. The Crime Branch even checked how many sarees my wife have", said Pabitra Kar.
