AGARTALA, June 27 (TIWN): Allegations of irregular supplies of ration items were raised against a ration dealer of Ration Shop No. 1 in East Rajnagar of Tulashikhar block.

Consumers in the East Rajnagar of Tulashikhar block have raised allegations against ration dealer Balabhadra Debbarma for irregularities.

They complained that the shop dealer shutdown the ration 2-3 days in every week. In addition, consumers also said, despite Governmental orders to keep shops open from 7 am to 11 pm and from 4 pm to 7 pm, the dealer of that ration shop has been disobeying the instructions of government rules.

The ration shop dealer continues the ration supplies as per his own wishes. As a result, consumers are facing harassment due to irregularities of the shop dealer. Also an allegation was raised about weight measurement fraudulence while distributing ration items.

The matter was reported to the Sub-divisional administrations and Food department. Their demand is to provide regular ration items and to take immediate stern action against the ration shop dealers.
