AGARTALA, June 24 (TIWN): A man was injured after run over by a Maruti car at Gandhigram area, Agartala.

The injured man has been identified as Arun Das, a resident of Bankumari area, was reportedly hit by a white Maruti car.

Local people present in that situation immediately informed Police. West Agartala PS Police rushed to the spot and rescued the injured man Arun Das and took him to the hospital for treatment.

But the Maruti car after hitting the man escaped from the spot  Though, public presence on the spot raised complaints against the negligence role of traffic police.
