AGARTALA, June 22 (TIWN): The CPI-M party on Tuesday staged a protest in Agartala against fuel price hikes along with raising other demands.Â
The protest was staged by CPI-M led by former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, who is also the opposition leader in Tripura.
The agitators also demanded Rs. 7.500 for the poor who are not covered under taxes. For the next 6 months, this help has been sought by the party due to Covid-19 situation.
Also 10 kg free rice was demanded for each person among the poor.
This protest was a part of "Pratibad Diwas" observation.
