AGARTALA, June 22 (TIWN): Tripura's lawlessness on rise and police's failure to apprehend criminals behind murders, rapes has  been questioned over the existence of any Home Dept in state. After Uttar Pradesh, Tripura is the second state where anarchy, injustice, mob-lynching are at massive-rate but even after 48 hours of passage, not a single criminal could be  arrested in mob-lynching case, rather Chief Minister Biplab Deb continues with his unpopular drama with his evening walk cum media publicity in capital city Agartala with heavy security surounding him. Though it is claimed that crime has reduced but fact is that FIR lodging has reduced in Tripura and various reports are coming where no FIR is being lodged and victims are asked to go back to home. If FIR is lodged against any ruling party member or mafias patronized by BJP, then victims face the ultimate harassment, face attacks. Yesterday, in protest, Congress had staged a protest in front of the Police Headquarter and demanded resignation of Chief Minister Biplab Deb.Â
On June 20th, 3 persons were lynched to death in Tripura in suspicion of cow-thieves by the public. The incident took place in Telimaura's North Maharanipur, under Mungiakami PS.
Reportedly, locals had tied the youths with rope and beaten them up seriously, hit on their head also. Consequently, they became seriously injured and admitted in GB hospital.
But after bringing them in serious condition, they were declared dead. The deceased have been identified as Saiful Islam, Jayed Hossain Billal Mia. No arrest was made in this case. Also in another murder case, where a chicken seller was killed by a local mafia, no arrest was done.
