AGARTALA, June 18 (TIWN): Tripura Congress has alleged that in the name of Lockdown, BJP is fulfilling its political targets. Addressing the media, Pijush Biswas recently in a press meet has said, "Lockdown is politically motivated and just to fulfill political aims, this lockdown has been imposed. We (the Opposition leaders) are facing cases even after holding protests with social distancing but there is no pause in BJP's meetings, programmes leading to Corona cases are increasing. This lockdown is just on pen and paper. In reality, it has no value. The BJP leaders are making gatherings without social distancing but the opposition parties are facing legal issues even after following guidelines. This can not be allowed to continue".

"Heavy politics is going on in the name of lockdown and this lockdown has been given only with political intention. Warrant, Court notices are being sent to us though we have followed all guidelines. The BJP across India, wherever it is in power has turned the situation like this, but Narendra Modi has no say about it", Biswas added. 

The statement came from the State Congress President on June 15.
