AGARTALA, June 6 (TIWN): Being "Jobless" for 14 months, the 10323 teachers' are under severe financial struggle, facing a death toll of 101 teachers. On June 3 and 4, 2 teachers have died and their deaths are related to job related depression and economic situation, but not a single condolence message was given by Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath. Nodoubt, BJP has used 10323 teachers as Vote Banks in 2018 poll which raises question, what will be new plan for vote banks in 2023 poll ?
Coming in power was an easy job for the BJP's Vision Document was a gesture of the public demands and among those demands, 50000 Govt jobs for unemployed youths under the existing vacant posts of the Left Govt was another promise. The issues are being raised as it has been more than 3 years of the BJP Govt in Tripura and the death toll among 10323 teachers have gone to 101.
Nodoubt, 10323 teachers turned BJP's political scapegoat in 2018 poll after the teachers trusted the BJP's fake promises and after election, the promise itself is fully misinterpreted.
10323 Teachers, JMC members were protesting on June 4 by observing a "Black Day", wearing a black ribbon as with 10323 teacher Litan Nama's death, the toll had risen to 100. But before completion of the "Black Day'' programme, one more terminated teacher of Bishramganj Naveen Debbarma has died which has taken the death toll to 101. JMC member Kamal Deb asked the State Govt, how many deaths do it want to raise their sympathy for the teachers ? JMC member Dalia Das said that Litan Nama, who became mentally ill after job-loss, died yesterday leaving his family behind. She said, "10323 teachers' families are reeling under extreme poverty as the financial condition of the families after job-losses has turned critical. Teachers' families are in a severe crisis and in addition, due to the Corona situation, everyone is helpless".
