AGARTALA, May 10 (TIWN): After the brutal attack took place in Santir Bazar on the opposition leaders, Tripura former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has called the Biplab Deb Govt's rule a 'Jungle-Raj' era.
The incident took place at Santir Bazar, South Tripura after leader of the Opposition, former CM Manik Sarkar, Badal Choudhury, MLA Sudhan Das, leader Basudeb Majumder and others were going to meet an attacked family there.
Badal Choudhury was injured on his head, vehicles were vandalized and many received minor injuries due to stone pelting. Police officials present there tried their best to safeguard the leaders but as Police authority did not permit any lathi-charge, so the deployed police personnel could not use any preventive method.
Sarkar called it a "Jungle Raj" and said, "Again and again such incidents can not be tolerated".
