AGARTALA, May 3 (TIWN): After Left parties, now opposition Congress has too raised serious questions on BJP’s leadership and violence provocation attitude of the leaders amid COVID19 pandemic.
Congress President, Pijush Biswas, who was allegedly facing severe problems to attend relief distribution programmes, today has disclosed various attack incidents on the Congress workers.
Pijush Biswas said, “As an opposition leader, it is my duty to raise voice. Or public will lose trust on the Govt”.
After attacks took place and bloodshed reported, when Congress went to make a complaint, in the presence of Additional DGP, BJP’s women members allegedly attempted to attack the Congress inside the Police station, later controlled by Police.
“Govt is saying something one thing by mouth but the action is totally different. These are happening even after I raised complaint to Chief Minister Biplab Deb”, he said.
Pijush Biswas could not join a programme of food distribution in South Madhyabil as the local leader had threatened Congress over phone. He did not join the programme for the sake of law and order.
But again, Congress workers were attacked, bleed even after Pijush Biswas raised the issue to Chief Minister in All Party Meeting.
The Congress leader also said that even after lodging FIR, no action was taken by police.
Today also, in Ranir Bazar, Congress activists, leaders were brutally attacked.
