AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, April 21 (TIWN): Tripura’s Bengali daily Syandan newspaper’s Fake Job Advertisement on AAI’s Fake Recruitment, Police raided Syandan office & Subal Dey’s home, started investigation after AAI filed FIR against Syandan Editor Subal Dey. Misusing the press club and labeling criminal acts are parts of so called “Fourth Pillar of Democracyâ€, Subal Dey, the self proclaimed President of Agartala Press Club has given a criminal style threat to Tripura Police, giving police the ultimate warning not to raid Syandan Office anymore.
However, in the threatening press release by Agartala press club, it has not been mentioned for a single time, why police have raided the office.
For long 2 years, the fourth pillar of democracy was not mention by Subal Dey and his team when time to time allegations came from journalists, but when he fell on his own trap to lure people’s money with Fake Job Advertisement publication, the dialogues on “Fourth Pillar of Democracy” started, although, the newspaper, accused for extortion and various fake news publication, including insulting tribal women wearing traditional dresses with communal essence by totally misusing his newspaper.
Naturally, if anything wrong happens, a Press Club can protest against it. But telling Police, “Giving you ultimate warning, not to visit Syandan office anymore”, is nothing but misuse of positions and personal benefiting statement under the banner of press club.
Infact, various media have condemned the role of Syandan Editor Subal Dey, under whose instruction such statement came.
