AGARTALA, April 7 (TIWN): Among various humanitarian activities, Tripura’s AMC Commissioner Sailesh Kumar Yadav has innovated another taskforce to make free masks under AMC for frontline workers and on-field workers amid COVID-19 outbreak. This project was given to women workers who are having self-help groups.

Per mask, the persons are getting Rs. 10, said the tailors.

Earlier, the AMC Commissioner announced that. Along with Commissioner Sailesh Yadav, AMC Mayor Prafullajit Sinha also remained present in the press conference.

Yadav said that not a single cloth the AMC had to purchase but these came from public and AMC is paying to the workers who worked in stitching these masks.

He said, these masks may not be exactly as good as prescribed masks but at least these masks can be used repeatedly. Front line workers, including journalists will be facilitated with these masks.

Tripura right now has one COVID-19 positive case, admitted in GB’s main isolation ward.
