AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, April 7 (TIWN): With the COVID-19 outbreak and first person was found positive in Tripura’s Udaipur sub-division, Gomati District SP Lucky Chouhan has sounded alerts to all the people who came close to that infected person since March 19. She said that the family has a tailoring-shop in the biggest market of Udaipur (the oldest market near R.K.Pur PS), asking all the persons who came in contact with the shop including customers and employees should go to Doctor is any symptom is felt. “The persons went to 15th March for Guwahati and on 19th she returned. I am telling everyone for last time, not to come out of home at any cost”, said Chouhan. With the first COVID Positive patient was detected, emergency alerts have been given across the Udaipur subdivision, where the patient stayed in home since return from Guwahati on 19th March via Tripura Sundari train. This is the first positive case found inside Tripura, generated tension across state.

“As per rule, 1 KM area identified in the COVID-19 patient’s house location, nobody should come out of that area. Police will be there in that area and vehicle passing through will not be allowed to stop. If anyone breaks rule then strictest action will be taken. Total 3 persons are membered in the COVID-19 positive person’s family and many people were residing in that house. Total 33 persons already sent to quarantine including a child and door to door surveillance will be started from today”, said DM Gomati Tarun Kanti Bhowmik. 

Chief Minister Biplab Deb has urged people to go to Doctor if any positive case is suspected for them who came from Guwahati, via Tripura Sundari Express on 18th March, morning 9.15 am. The train reached in Agartala on 19th March at 1.5 pm.  (Specially those who travelled via S4 and S5 bogies they must be careful.
