Tripura Govt alerts 19th March Guwahati returners via Tripura Sundari Express over COVID-19 symptoms

AGARTALA, April 7 (TIWN): Govt of Tripura has sounded alerts for them who returned via Tripura Sundari Express on 19th March after a positive case was tested with travel history. Govt has urged people to go to Doctor if any positive case is suspected for them who came from Guwahati, via Tripura Sundari Express on 18th March, morning 9.15 am. The train reached in Agartala on 19th March at 1.5 pm. (Specially those who travelled via S4 and S5 bogies they must be careful. Restrictions in various areas have been imposed in Udaipur after the case revealed.As soon as COVID-19 case was tested positive in Udaipur subdivision, Gomati District Magistrate Tarun Kanti Debnath ordered a total restriction in that area covering Girls School, Mosque, River Bridge area up to Rajar Bagh area. Addressing media, the DM said, “This a not a request to the people not to come out of home, but this is an order. Also Don Bosco school, Killa areas are lined under minimum restrictions”.

“As per rule, 1 KM area identified in the COVID-19 patient’s house location, nobody should come out of that area. Police will be there in that area and vehicle passing through will not be allowed to stop. If anyone breaks rule then strictest action will be taken. Total 3 persons are membered in the COVID-19 positive person’s family and many people were residing in that house. Total 33 persons already sent to quarantine including a child and door to door surveillance will be started from today”.
