AGARTALA, Dec 12 (TIWN): In a scheduled meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah today in Delhi, Tripura Royal Scion Pradyot Manikya requested to withdraw CAB for Tripura but other than assurances to look after the issue, no other developments. Pradyot Manikya informed that he is filing a case in Supreme Court against CAB implementation in Tripura.
However, Pradyot Manikya was very clear on his stand and told Shah that at any stage, he is not going to compromise with CAB.
Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday attacked the Centre over the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill or CAB. He also slammed those supporting the bill, which he said is an attempt to destroy the foundation of India.
"The #CAB is an attack on the Indian constitution. Anyone who supports it is attacking and attempting to destroy the foundation of our nation," Rahul Gandhi tweeted.
Earlier, his sister and Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra came down hard on the bill and indicated that CAB threatens the freedom for which "our forefathers gave their lifeblood".
